3 years in the making and one year of testing we are very proud to announce that the 2 valve Aston Martin V8 cylinder heads are now available solely from us, we have manufactured these Cylinder heads to ISO 9001 standards, cast in LM25TF with redesigned camshaft caps. All our new cylinder heads come complete with new valve seats and guides fitted. We have engineered the patterns for these cylinder heads to enable all three variants to come from one main core pattern therefore we can now supply brand new cylinder heads for models DBSV8, AMV8 Carburettor and EFI variants.
We will be at this years London Classic Car Show launching our brand new Aston Martin V8 2 valve cylinder heads
Alnwick Castle was the amazing setting for the Autumn concours event, we are very pleased and proud to say that the prototype V8 Vantage we had meticulously restored WON first place in the elite class, congratulations to the owner who entrusted us to carry out all the restoration work and who also researched the cars details.
DB4-5 and 6 jig built brand new chassis are now available, we also have many of the repair sections in stock, if you are carrying out a restoration yourself then remember we are here to help.
At the Warren Golf course concours event on 13th May 2013 a very proud client of ours won first place with his recently restored Aston Martin DB5. There was a special class for Aston Martin vehicles which are celebrating 100 years of manufacturing so the DB5 was up against some very tuff competition, after painstakingly cleaning a preparing the vehicle we were all very pleased with the final result.
We are all looking forward to the same event in 2014 as this will be “thee event” of 2014 to attend, its the UKs own Pebble Beach .
Congratulations to all at the Warren who have made this event happen.
After a 3000 plus man hour restoration on one of our V8 Vantage vehicles we managed to achieve the best V8 vehicle on the day, also our V8 Vantage Volante was awarded the second best V8 on the day at the AMOC Autumn concours, this prestigious event was held at Boughton House, thanks to all the hard work and attention to detail shown by everyone here at Vantage House.
The 360mrc put on another great event, this time it was a 2 hour mini enduro race with a mixture of cars that were a sight to be seen, from our Aston V8 to a Ford Anglia the field was most varied, Tony Jardine along with Trevor Knight set a pole time of 1.40.806 closely followed by the Caterham and Honda Civic, we could only manage 14th due to fueling problems.
Rikki started the race which was very busy with some very close racing between him and the two Nissan 370Zs after two safety car periods Rikki had managed to climb up the field to a creditable 5th place, it was then during another safety car period that we decided to pit and change drivers, meanwhile Knight/Jardine were in a battle to try and catch the Caterham which had the lead,
We sent Mike Youles out for the second stint of the race and he managed to start picking off more cars with a best lap of 1.45.743, the Caterham and the Marcos Mantis had been given various drive through penalties which had allowed us to catch up and take the lead, Mike was driving very well and had a 34 second lead over the Mantis but unfortunately with only two laps remaining we ran out of fuel, this meant we finished the race in 7th place with a third in class, Hancock/Smart in the other Aston came in 6th with a best lap of 1.47.090 and 2nd in class while the Bmw M3 E36 was 1st in class, Congratulations to Trevor Knight/Tony Jardine in winning the race and putting on a great show for the public, the Marcos was very special.
On behalf of all the drivers we would like to send a big thank you to all at 360mrc along with all the marshalls for making this another successful event, these 360 events really are “endurance racing as it should be”
The second 6 hour race at Snetterton was held on 5 May 2011, and was won by none other than our team!
Driving our customised 1980s V8 Vantage, Rikki dominated the competition, finishing a whole lap ahead of our nearest rivals.
We put our success in this race down to preparation, skill and experience. Which, funnily enough, are the same things responsible for our successful business!
We’re looking forward to defending our title in 2012, and would like to thank all of our loyal customers for their support and custom. It’s helped us come this far in 21 years, and it’s what has us planning for another 21!
The first HVRA (Historic V8 Racers Association) has arrived, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Bernie Chodosh.
The first race was held on 23 October 2011, and featured a full grid of V8 cars including MGB V8s, Camaros, Mustangs, TVRs, Aston Martin V8s, Sunbeam Tigers and AC Cobras.
We’re certain that this will be the series to watch and attend in 2012, due to the friendly atmosphere, the fantastic cars and the ferocious noise generated during the race!
We hope to see lots of you at the HVRA circuits next year.
